This title really fits the dress spot on in all possible ways - it is so easy and pleasant to wear, a perfect outfit for spring and summer, be it casual or dressy, and with its vivid watercolor hand-painted design and luxurious material, also a great way to show off your taste and appreciation for art in everyday life. Made out of 4-ply silk crepe that is breathable, very wrinkle resistant if not wrinkle-free, soft to the touch and providing superior drape and movement, it also has two built-in side pockets for times when you feel extra 'hip'. The hand-painted design showcases bold splashes of turquoise and green over a cloud-like watercolor base. Slightly asymmetrical, widening toward the bottom, it has plenty of room without looking too big for the size, it is easy-care and the detailing on top takes away any doubt, if there was any remaining, about it being a work of fiber art. One of the artist's personal favorite types of clothing to wear, particularly with boots. There are a number of jackets or coverups for the shoulders to match the dress, please ask if you cannot locate them on the site. Very brief cold water hand wash, a few drops of mild detergent, always separately, spin in washer and dry on medium, or air dry and finish in dryer to soften. Also can be dry cleaned by mild methods, or dry cleaned in dryer at home with a store-bought kit. Do not use stain removers, spot treaters or bleach pens. Contact us for any advice, if needed.
All garments arrive to you freshly cleaned, unlike regular store-bought items, and are ready to wear.
Dry-cleaning is ok on most items but only if gentle methods are used and the cleaners are familiar with cleaning hand-painted delicate fabrics.
To freshen up any item that doesn’t need deep cleaning simply mist it with a water spray and put in the dryer on medium heat for about 15 min.
All garments can be hand washed. Wash each item separately, cold water only, minimal amount of detergent, and as briefly as possible, no soaking. The wash can be followed by a spin in the washer and dried on medium heat until dry. Knits should be hung-dried and when dry, finished in the dryer for a few minutes to soften.
Hand-pressing may be necessary after the wash and dry to straighten out the seams and edges which tend to pucker or curl on natural fabrics.
Some hand-dyed items may leak a bit of color during the washing, that is normal and will not affect the item. Using liquid softener during the wash will minimize any color leaking.
